About Me!
My name is Sinem, and I was born on December 5, 2000, in Manavgat — a small, charming coastal town in Antalya, Turkey. My musical journey began when I was 10 years old, the day I held a violin for the first time. That moment quietly marked the beginning of a lifelong bond. A few years later, I expanded my musical world by learning to play the piano during high school.

I studied at Antalya Fine Arts High School, where I focused on music full-time. After graduating, I continued my education at Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, earning my degree in Music Education. During those university years, I started teaching violin and piano to children, and quickly realized how deeply I enjoyed helping young students discover music.
After graduating, I worked as a music teacher at a public middle school in Antalya for one year. This experience taught me the value of patience, creativity, and emotional connection in education. I found joy in watching my students grow — not only as musicians, but also as individuals gaining self-confidence through art.
In my teaching, I always try to create a space where students feel supported and inspired. Whether it’s through classical methods or playful activities, I believe music should feel natural, joyful, and meaningful. I’ve also enriched my teaching style through Orff-Schulwerk seminars, which shaped how I approach music education for young children — including movement, rhythm games, and improvisation.
Today, I continue this journey in Melbourne, Australia, where I teach violin and piano at two music schools and offer private lessons in the Brunswick–Moreland area. My students come from different cultures and age groups, and I love learning from each of them as much as they learn from me.
Music is more than a subject to teach — it’s a way to connect, to grow, and to feel. And I’m here to share that with anyone ready to begin their own musical path.
